THE COACHING EXPERIENCE
Coaching is a partnership founded on the understanding that you have all you need to create a joyful, balanced, and fulfilling life. Your coach is a facilitator, motivator and inspirer. Coaching supports you in finding your own answers and shifting patterns and behaviors that no longer serve you. Once these shifts take place, success in your goals comes easily through creating new plans and strategies and taking focused action.
Loretta's work with her clients blends the practical and spiritual while bridging the head and heart for balanced living. Loretta creates safe space that allows her clients to go deep and access their vulnerabilities without fear. Loretta specializes in:

THE COACHING PROCESS
Our outer experience is merely a reflection of inner reality.
Each coaching relationship and the steps taken are unique to the individual and hir or her goals. The following outline is a template that is used as a guideline. Your experience may vary depending on your goals and past experiences.
Discovery Session
This session is used to create the blueprint for the coaching relationship. You share information about your goals and intentions, blocks and barriers and why you are choosing a coaching relationship to support you in making shifts in your life. It is also used to discuss the coaching model and to set expectations. The clientÆs primary intention is set. Most importantly, this session creates the connection between the coach and client and creates the safety needed for the client to be in a place of trust and openness. This session is normally 2 hours and is held in person if possible.
DISC Behavioral & Values Assessment
The TTI behavioral assessment is designed to help individuals attain a greater knowledge of themselves as well as others. The ability to interact effectively with people may be the difference between success and failure in both personal and professional lives. Effective interaction starts with an accurate perception of oneself. The TTI behavioral reports lead to this increased self-awareness.
The Values assessment helps individuals understand what motivates them to make decisions and take action. It answers the following questions: What is it that causes you to move into action? What are the drivers of your behavior? What activities, careers and conversations inspire a "passion" within you, causing you to want to become involved? The Motivation Insights Assessment measures the "why" of your actions, leading to an understanding of what drives your behavior and defines the attitudes that move you into action.
Ongoing Coaching
1. Situational Discovery
Between coaching sessions the client keeps a heightened awareness of events in their lives along with the mental and emotional processes that occur. Prior to the weekly coaching sessions, the client chooses events and situations they would like to review with the intention of discovering different ways of approaching the situation or avoiding it in the future. As these discussions occur, both the coach and the client begin to see patterns that are recurring in the client's life.
These repeated patterns point to belief systems that need to be shifted in order to begin producing different results in the client's life. A process of discovery and reframing is used to identify the belief, determine its roots, and to shift to a new belief that serves the forward movement of the client.
2. Self Talk and Thought Patterns
Throughout the coaching relationship the coach observes the clients language for patterns of negative thoughts about themselves, their life, other people and the world. The words we choose indicate belief systems that we hold. By simply changing the mental ôtapesö that are playing in our minds, we begin to change our environment and the results we are producing. Words are seeds of creation and changing our thoughts and spoken words is the first step to changing the results we create.
3. Goals and Intentions
The client's primary focus is the overall purpose of the coaching relationship. From that, we create specific goals and intentions to be accomplished. SMART goals are set: Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, and Time-measured. Intentions work together with goals and are a chosen state of consciousness that is in alignment with the things we desire.
4. Focused Action and Affirmation
Focused actions are agreed upon during each session and they are reviewed at the following session to provide support and accountability. Tasks that are not completed are processed to determine what got in the way of accomplishing the goal and a strategy is created to remove the block and barriers for future success.
Affirmations are used to create a positive thought process that supports the client's goals and intentions. Many people do not experience success with affirmations because a subconscious belief is more powerful than the affirmation or the affirmation is too large a leap of faith. In the coaching relationship we set affirmations that are believable and take a step-step approach if necessary. Underlying beliefs are reframed to allow the affirmation to drive the consciousness of the individual along with their mental / emotional states.
5. Celebrate Successes!
Successes large and small are celebrated. Too often we focus on the big goal and forget to enjoy the journey. My goal for my clients is that each step is a celebrated success and the feeling of accomplishment is felt every day.
